The grouped Parish Council of Ashby, Herringfleet & Somerleyton serves these three rural parishes, which are situated northwest of Lowestoft within the Waveney District Council area.
We meet in Somerleyton Village Hall on the first Thursday in January, March, July, September and November and on the second Thursday in May when the AGM is held. Additional meetings are occasionally held between the scheduled ones should an urgent matter arise. All meetings are advertised on the Parish Noticeboard outside the Post Office and on this website. Before each meeting there is a Public Forum for members of the public to address the Parish Council and we encourage parishioners to attend our meetings (it would be nice to see more of you).
The Parish Council has adopted the Model Publication Scheme to ensure that parishioners may be fully informed about the Council. A statement of what we make available under the Scheme and how to access it is shown in our Information Available document.
